Cheaper pond foods

Dechlorinator is an essential additive for all new pond water. This advanced product ensures complete conditioning of tap water by removing all harmful chlorine compounds. This product is completely harmless to all pond life, filters and other animal wild life.

Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Treat all water entering the pond including topping up water. Never assume that tap water is safe.

Note
Always mix in a suitable container with some pond water and distribute evenly around the pond.

Formalin is an effective treatment against many parasites such as Whitespot, Flukes, Ciliates and Flagellates.Can be mixed with malachite for a more effective remedy.

Directions
For water temperature of up to 14 Degrees C add 10ml per 1000 Litres (200 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat this dose 10 days later. For water temperatures above 14 Degrees C add 10ml per 500 Litres (100 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat this dose 8 days later.

Note
Do not use below 10 Degrees C if salt is present in the pond. Always mix in a suitable container with some pond water and distribute evenly around the pond. For severe cases use as a dip at the rate of 1ml per 5 Litres for up to 30 minutes maximum, followed 48 hours later by a standard treatment.

An effective treatment for aquatic parasites including white spot  Malachite is an effective treatment against many ecto-parasites such as Whitespot, Flukes, Ciliates and Flagellates. This product is of the highest quality and is totally Zinc free. Can be mixed with formalin

Directions
Add 10ml per 1000 Litres (200 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat this dose 10 days later.

Note

For severe cases use as a dip at the rate of 1ml per 5 Litres for up to 30 minutes maximum followed 48 hours later by a standard treatment. Use in conjunction with Formalin.

Acriflavine is a treatment against aquatic bacterial infections, such as Flagellates, Fungi, Protozoa and some viruses e.g. carp pox.

Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat after 10 days.Note
Do not use at temperatures below 48 Degrees F. Mix in a suitable container with some pond water and distribute evenly around the pond. For severe cases use as a dip at the rate of 10ml per 100 Litres (20 gallons) for up to one hour.

Bacteriacide is an effective treatment against many aquatic bacterial infections. Very effective against ulcers, frayed fins, sores and fungus.     

Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat this dose weekly for 3 weeks. Use as a short term dip at a rate of 10ml per 10 gallons for no more than 30 minutes. Severe infections like ulcers may be swabbed with neat solution.Note

Parasite Killer is an effective treatment against many aquatic parasites such as Fish lice, Flukes and Anchor worm. Do not use with Orfe or Rudd

Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat 5 days later then again after a further 5 days. For difficult cases increase the dose to 10ml per 500 Litres (100 Gallons) and repeats as above. For a short term bath (5 minutes max) use 10ml per 10 gallons (50 Litres).

Filter Primer is an advanced product specifically designed to mature biological filters and will actively promote the growth of nitrifying bacteria. Filter Primer will discourage the formation and propagation of Heterotrophic bacteria species which will inhibit the effectiveness of your filter.

Directions
New ponds: With no fish present add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Monitor nitrate and ammonia levels, add fish when these are reduced to Zero.
Existing ponds: Add 10ml per 1500 Litres (300 gallons) dose every 7 days for 1 month.

Anti Foam is an easy way to stop and prevent unsightly foaming on the surface of ponds. Anti Foam may be used at any time during the year but especially in the spring and summer months. This product is harmless to all pond life if used correctly.

Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. This dose may be repeated after one hour. Pour gently over the surface of the pond. Do not repeat more than 5 times in any one week. Note
For best results add Anti Foam around pump area to ensure even distribution. Anti Foam can be used regularly but should not be over used. Excessive repeated foaming may be due to the nature and type of the pump outlet.

Combat Bactericide combines several antimicrobial agents and a fungicide. For minor bacterial problems, raised scales and to lower protozoan parasites that commonly cause a white film treat the pond 1-2 times depending on the severity at seven-day intervals.Combat minimally affects filter bacteria.
